Fall Detect IR Sensor – 20004
Fall detector works by sending and receiving infrared signals to measure the distance between itself and the target object and it reacts when a sudden vary of distance occurs. This kind of detector bases on a pair of low-cost, array-based infrared ping sensors. It could be used to prevent robots from falling into lower places. The output voltage of this sensor stays high in case an object exists in the specified distance range. So this sensor can also be used as a proximity sensor.
