OpenPIC Pro is an old friend. It has been with us for two generations. We made our first steps in the embedded world with OpenPIC Pro. Today, it has thousands of users: students, hobbyists, enthusiasts, and professionals. It is used in many schools and other educational institutions across the globe. It provides a low-cost, easy-to-use platform with standard modules to bring you into the colorful embedded world.

The OpenPIC Pro Development Board is intended as a development, demonstration, and testing platform for many families of Microchip 8-bit,16-bit, and 32-bit microcontroller devices. The board features all the necessary hardware (such as a power supply, standard user interfaces, modules, communications, and I/O connectivity) to begin developing and debugging a complete embedded application.

MCU Card Socket

The OpenPIC Pro equips a 144-pin Plug-In Module socket, supporting various 16-bit and 32-bit microcontroller families via PICXXX-XXX V2 series MCU Cards. The MCU Cards supported by the OpenPIC Pro development board are: PIC28-A V2, PIC28-B V2, PIC44-A V2, PIC44-B V2, PIC44-C V2, PIC64-A V2, PIC64-B V2, PIC64-C V2, PIC64-D V2, PIC64-MZ V2, PIC80-A V2, PIC80-B V2, PIC100-A V2, PIC100-B V2, PIC100-MZ V2, PIC144-A V2 and PIC144-MZ V2 etc. which are respectively for most PIC24, dsPIC33, PIC32 microcontroller families in 28-pin, 44-pin, 64-pin, 80-pin, 100-pin, and 144-pin TQFP packages. Using these MCU cards, you can use different microcontrollers on the OpenPIC Pro development board for development, demonstration, and testing.

Interface for Programmer: The standard 6-pin interface, “ICSP,” is for programmers like PICKIT2, PICKIT3, ICD2, etc.

Indicator

  • PWRLED: The Power LED Indicator indicates when the power supply is switched on.
  • L1: User LED Indicator – helpful in indicating the IO state of the PIC microcontroller.

  • UP: Direction UP on Jostick– state readable by the PIC microcontroller.
  • DOWN: Direction DOWN on Jostick– state readable by the PIC microcontroller.
  • LEFT: Direction LEFT on Jostick– state readable by the PIC microcontroller.
  • RIGHT:  Direction RIGHT on Jostick– state readable by the PIC microcontroller.
  • CENTER: Direction CENTER on Jostick– state readable by the PIC microcontroller.

Power Supply

  • The board can be powered in two different ways: with a USB power supply (USB) or using an external DC 7-12V via an adapter connector Jack (POWER(7-12V)).
  • 5V or 3.3V power supply is optional for the system(But for most PIC24,dsPIC and PIC32 MCUs,the working volage is 3.3V).

Communication

  • RS232 Module with interface – helpful in transferring data to/from the PIC microcontroller using RS232 communication protocol.
  • RS485 Module with interface – helpful in transferring data to/from the PIC microcontroller using RS485 communication protocol.
  • CAN Module with interface – helpful in transferring data to/from the PIC microcontroller using CAN communication protocol.
  • Mini USB connector(Installed on MCU Cards) – shares USB signals with the USB connector and is helpful for the development of dedicated
  • USB-embedded host applications, when used in conjunction with a USB capable.

Display

  • 6-digit Segment LED Display – useful for displaying the measured value of the user application.
  • Socket for 16×2 Character LCD Display Module – helpful in displaying user application strings/ measured value.
  • The socket for the 128×64 Graphical Liquid Crystal Display Module helps display user application strings, measured values, and graphical interfaces.

1-WIRE Bus: Socket for DS18B20 Temperature Sensor Module – useful for monitoring the ambient temperature.

Storage

  • TF Card Module – useful for saving data.
  • IIC External EEPROM Module – helpful in saving data that should be saved when the power supply goes off.

Sound Generator Device: Buzzer –to generate voice using a voltage signal of specified frequency from the PIC microcontroller.

Analog to Digital Conversion: Potentiometer ADC Input: 10 kΩ Potentiometer – useful as an analog signal source for ADC demonstration or user interface purposes.

Motor: Socket for 28BYJ-48-5V stepmother with ULN2003A Darlington Array drive.

System Clock

  • 32.768 kHz Low-power Oscillator Crystal Input (Installed on MCU Card)
  • Socket for System main Oscillator Crystal(Installed on MCU Card)

External expansion: Three ModuleBUS Socket for hardware expansion compatible with mikroBUSâ„¢by Mikroe. It helps attach various hardware expansion boards, extending the platform’s functionality.

Power Supply: The board can be powered in two different ways: with a USB power supply (Type B) or using an external DC 7-12V via adapter connector Jack (POWER(7-12V)).

Programmer/Debugger Requirement: An external PIC programmer or debugger must download code to the PIC on the board. The board supports many Programmers or debuggers, such as PICKIT2, PICKIT3, ICD2, etc.

WE SHIP WORLDWIDE: We primarily ship via FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS because they’re reliable, fast, and easily trackable. We usually ship within 2 to 3 business days after the purchase. Standard delivery generally occurs within 4 to 7 business days after the shipping date. However, the delivery may take about 7 to 10 business days, depending on the shipping destination, logistics, weather conditions, product weight, size, or shipping company distribution structures.

SHIPPING COSTS: For some industrial products, e.g., heavy wheels, CNC machines, etc., the shipping cost is calculated based on the product weight, not quantity. To benefit from lower shipping costs for orders with multiple items, please contact us at sales@ozrobotics.com. Our shipping rates are listed clearly on each product page under the SHIPPING tab. Additionally, to see the shipping cost for your country, add the item to the Shopping Cart; you will see the shipping cost based on your Country and Location.

CUSTOMS and TARIFFS: While not all products require a tariff, some may require a minimal tariff if applicable in your country. The total amount for your order does not include a tariff. The United States Customs deducts tariffs on goods valued at $800.00 and above from customers located in the US. Orders below $800.00 do not require a tariff. When applicable, a tariff belongs to the buyer.

Why don't we add tariffs to the product's retail price? - If all countries deducted the same tariff amount, we would have added the tariff amount to the product price. However, we do not do that because each country charges a different amount, while some do not even charge. Therefore, we can't add any tariff to the product's retail pricing. Oz Robotics, manufacturing partners, or Suppliers are not responsible for tariffs. Please check the "Made In:" and "Brand:" labels on the product page to see the product's origin. The total amount for your order does not include any duties, import taxes, customs fees, and GST/VAT. The buyer must pay all import duties. PRODUCT DATASHEET AND MANUAL: If applicable, the Product Documentation, such as the Datasheet, Brochure, Reference Materials, CAD Design, STP Files, Manuals, and Tutorials, will be available for download upon purchase from the My Account as needed. Return Policy

WITHIN 5 HOURS: Mistakes happen when ordering, so you have 5 hours to request an order cancellation, but we cannot refund the PayPal or Stripe Processing fee because they do not refund us.

AFTER 5 HOURS: After 5 hours, your order has either been shipped, prepared to ship, or custom-made. If you still want to cancel your order after 5 Hours, we will deduct 30% of the total for restocking + PayPal or Stripe processing fees and the Return Shipping cost for unopened packages.

AFTER RECEIVING YOUR ORDER: If you decide not to keep your order after it arrives, we will deduct 80% of the total if we find it refundable after a review. Please see our Refund and Replacement Policy

EXCHANGE POLICY: Oz Robotics wants you to be happy with your new purchase. However, we abide by the exchange policy of our suppliers because we do not manufacture these products; our suppliers do. Once you use the product, our supplier(s) and we have the right not to issue a refund. Still, we will offer an exchange for wrongly purchased items or products with serious and irreversible defects or technical problem(s). The buyer will pay the shipping fee for wrongly purchased products or similar issues. REFUND POLICY: Oz Robotics accepts refunds on a minimal basis unless there is a manufacturing defect. For electronic items, returns are only accepted on devices with serious and irreversible problems; meanwhile, the customer must apply for the returns within seven days of delivery. Before a refund acceptance, please include images or a video and any other proof of the defect. However, we abide by the exchange policy of our suppliers because we do not manufacture these products. Other than our supplier's default policy, once a return is agreed upon, you can ship your defective item to the provided return address that you should receive from us first. Please ship the order in original packaging with all the accessories and additional parts. If the Required Parts are not sent back, they will be billed for or expected to be shipped later. And only once all items have arrived will our staff check the returned product for testing. Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return, the original receipt, proof of defect, images, a video, etc. It will help us to speed up the process on your behalf.

The purchaser (customer/buyer) is responsible for all shipping costs when returning an item. However, upon receiving the returned order, we will assess the product. If it is determined that there is, in fact, a manufacturing defect, then we will refund the shipping costs as well as repair or replace or refund the full amount to the purchaser if the product is not fixable.

If you wish to return an unused product, please do so within seven days from the ship date for a refund on the purchase price minus shipping and handling. Refunds will be credited to the original credit card used for payment 24-48 HOURS after receiving the product back. We will charge a 80% of the total for restocking + PayPal or Stripe processing fees and the Return Shipping cost for unopened packages.

Once your return is received and inspected, and if you agree to a refund, refunds will be credited to the original credit card used for payment in 24-48 hours. Please note that we will charge an 80% restocking fee once you return a product without any defect.

Once your refund is processed, PayPal will return the money to the card used. It may take at least five business days (depending on the bank and credit company) before your refund is posted in your bank account and statements. Contact Us if you have not received your refund after five business days.

Do not return your product to our New York office. For any exchange or refunds, please email us first at support@ozrobotics.com for us to provide you with the steps that need to be followed.
