r3bEL X features a swappable toolhead system that allows you to print different materials using a variety of toolheads. Use the syringe extruder for printing with hydrogels and other soft biomaterials, or the filament extruder toolhead to print with plastic filament. Have a unique application in mind? We also offer custom-made tool heads to suit your exact specifications.

r3bEL X utilizes a direct mechanical drive system for its syringe extruder toolhead that provides superior performance compared to pneumatic systems. The direct drive allows for greater control over pressure, and therefore the overall printing process. It also allows for retraction capabilities (not possible on pneumatic systems) that enable liquid handling, such as droplet dispensing and liquid transfer.

Designed with the user in mind, r3bEL X features Wi-Fi capabilities that make it easy to control your bioprinter from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Whether you’re a researcher, scientist, educator, or student, you can seamlessly connect using your preferred device to print wirelessly with r3bEL X.

r3bEL X is designed to work with open-source software and programs that provide maximum flexibility, allowing you to easily customize prints to suit your research needs. Easy and free to use, they are also continually updated with new features and improvements by developers in the community.
