Smart Drive Duo-30 Drive Power Brushed DC Motor with Current up to 80A

SmartDriveDuo-30 is one of the latest smart series motor drivers designed to drive medium power brushed DC motor with current capacity up to 80A peak (few seconds) and 30A continuously, each channel.

This driver is designed especially for controlling differential drive the mobile robots using the RC controller. Nevertheless, MDDS30 also can be controlled using an analog joystick or microcontroller (PWM, Serial). MOSFETs are switched at 18 kHz to ensure quiet operation and no annoying whining sound. Besides, it also equipped with a microcontroller unit to provide smart features such as multiple input modes and current limit and thermal protection.

    2. I see I can use a throttle, but is there a setting that can be used for both a brake and gas pedal? It looks like it would auto brake when you take your foot off the gas, would like to disable that and have a variable brake and gas pedals

    Hi Micah, unfortunately no, the MDDS30 doesn't support throttle and brake pedal. It doesn't have the coasting function. Once the gas pedal is let go, it will brake. Thank you.

    Hi Micah, yes, MDDS30 can be used with hall effect throttle which has 0-5V analog output. It need to be connected to MDDS30 analog input pin and the DIP switch should be configure as analog input with sign magnitude mode. Thank you.
