XinaBox STEM Starter Kit – XK01
Kit XK01 is a great starter kit with 2 sensors, a programmer, a display, a core Wi-Fi module CHIPS and 10 BUS connectors. This kit is identical to the Phase 1A collection of CHIPS used by schools in several US states including Virginia. The kit serves as an accurate, easy-to-use, portable weather station.
The STEM Starter Kit consist of the following

- 1 x IP01 – USB Programming Interface
- 1 x OD01 – OLED Display 128×64
- 1 x SW01 – Advanced Weather Sensor
- 1 x SL01 – UVA, UVB, Light Sensor
- 1 x XC10 – 10-Pack Bus Connectors
CW01 – WiFi Core
This CHIP forms part of the core modules and is equipped with Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi module offers internet connectivity which allows the user to store data on the cloud which enables remote data access and opens up for the world of IoT.
IP01 – USB Programming Interface
This CHIP is an interface module which is equipped to power and program other modules via a USB A connector. The USB A connection is required for programming the range of CPU Core CHIPS over the USB-serial bridge provided by the FT232R.
OD01 – OLED Display 128×64
This CHIP forms part of the output modules and is equipped with an OLED display unit that is capable of displaying any graphics or text. Very useful as a sensor data display.
SW01 – Advanced Weather Sensor
This weather sensor xCHIP is equipped with a weather sensor that is capable of measuring the temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure.
The humidity sensor provides an extremely fast responce time for fast context awareness application and high overall accuracy over a wide temperature range.
The pressure sensor is an absolute barometric pressure sensor with extremely high accuracy and resolution.
The integrated temperature sensor has been optimized for lowest noise and highest resolution. Its output is used for temperature compensation of the pressure and humidity sensors and can also be used for estimation of the ambient temperature.
SL01 – UVA, UVB, Light Sensor
This CHIP forms part of the sensor modules and is equipped with a light sensor that is capable of measuring the luminosity (Wide Dynamic Range — 3 lux to 220k lux) (visual brightness), UVA and UVB radiation. The light sensor converts solar UV light intensity to digital data and has displayed reliable performance of UV radiation measurement inner long time solar UV exposure.
