EUmark Set 03 — etch marking kit built for continuous use

Most marking systems arrive with sample quantities of everything. The samples run out during the first real job, the reorder takes a week to arrive, and the machine sits on a shelf in the meantime. Set 03 is built so that does not happen.

It is the full marking unit with the 58 mm stencil printer, shipped with six rolls of stencil tape and two marking felt sheets — a working stock, not a starter sample. This is the configuration to specify when marking is going to be part of the daily routine from day one, not something you’re evaluating.

The full machine, not the compact one

Set 03 runs both marking modes:

  • Black oxide marking — shallow, high-contrast dark mark. What most identification work calls for.
  • Deep etch, light marking — a recessed mark with real depth, for identification that has to survive further finishing, handling, media blasting or years of service wear.

The compact sets — 05, 06 and 07 — produce black marking only. If a drawing calls out etch depth rather than contrast, or the mark has to outlast abrasive handling, the full machine is what covers it.

What the P58D printer is good at, and what it is not

The 58 mm printer produces excellent text, serial numbers, part numbers, date codes and fine line artwork. Thin strokes transfer cleanly, which makes it the right tool for the identification work most shops actually do, and for outline logos.

It is not the printer for machine-readable symbols. QR codes, barcodes, thick strokes and large solid black areas should be avoided at this width — they do not transfer reliably. If your marking has to carry a scannable code, SUPER SET 04 and Set 07 use the wider printers and the software built for it.

Why six rolls, not one

A single roll of stencil tape gets a shop through evaluation and the first few jobs. It does not get a shop through a quarter of production marking. Set 03 ships with six — enough that consumables stop being something you have to think about for months, and enough that the two marking felts included will not outlast the tape supply, which is the usual failure point in a starter kit.

If Set 02 is the version of this machine you try, Set 03 is the version you run.

Kit contents

  • EUmark marking unit, 110 V / 220 V, with power and marking cables
  • Stencil printer P58D, 58 mm print width
  • Stencil design software, included with no license fee — optimized for text, numbers and fine line work
  • 6 × stencil tape, 58 mm × 10 m
  • Hand stamp (marking head)
  • 2 × marking felt, 375 × 500 mm (10″ × 19″)
  • Electrolytes M21, M22, M23 and N11 Neutralyte
  • Sample long-life stencil and sample printed stencil

Step up to SUPER SET 04 if you need the wider 100–115 mm printer, a 108 m tape roll and full 200 ml bottles of every electrolyte instead of the standard fill — the configuration built for high-volume production and for shops that also need scannable codes.

What the process does to the part

Property Effect Why it matters
Heat input none No HAZ to disposition on heat-treated or age-hardened alloys
Recast layer none No micro-cracking initiation site on cyclically loaded parts
Residual stress none added Fatigue allowables unchanged
Material removal ~0.001″ surface conversion Safe on thin wall sections and finished dimensions
Burrs and raised edges none No deburr operation after marking
Hardness and temper unchanged Marking happens last, on the finished part
Corrosion resistance preserved Neutralize with N11, then passivate to your existing procedure

The four fluids

Marking units are broadly similar across the industry. Electrolytes are not, and they are where the result actually comes from.

Fluid How it behaves Reach for it when
M21 Self-cleaning. Gets a high number of marks out of one wetting of the felt. Running a batch. The operator is not stopping to re-wet or wash the felt between parts — which is where the real cycle time in manual marking gets lost.
M22 Very dark mark, and the fluid used for deep etch. Requires the felt to be washed after use. Maximum contrast, or a print calling for etch depth rather than surface contrast alone.
M23 Non-corrosive, formulated for marking highly corrosion-sensitive materials. Wipe with a dry cloth after marking — that is the whole post-process. Corrosion-critical hardware, or any part where a wet neutralizing step is impractical.
N11 Neutralyte Protects the marked surface after etching. Standard finishing step after M21 or M22.

Read this before you order: the table is a recommendation, not a specification. Alloy, condition, finish and prior processing all change the outcome, so trial marking on your own material is a required step. Send a coupon and we will run the first trial for you.

Every fluid ships with a safety data sheet. Quality and EHS functions need those for incoming inspection, hazard communication and the audit file — in a regulated shop an undocumented consumable does not get approved for the floor, however well it performs. The fluids are formulated to the requirements applied in medical, aerospace and food-contact manufacturing. A 200 ml bottle delivers up to 20,000 marks.

Artwork that works

Thin lines, outlined text and open lettering reproduce best, whether printed or photo-etched. Thick strokes and large solid black areas should be avoided: the electrolyte does not pass evenly through them and the mark comes out patchy. Where a logo is heavy, an outlined version marks far better than a filled one. Strokes below about 0.008″ (0.2 mm) tend to close up.

For long-life photo stencils, send artwork as SVG, DXF, AI or EPS with the part finish, and we will tell you what will hold before you commit.

Running the numbers

Six rolls at 10 m each is 60 m of stencil tape — at a typical stencil length, several hundred printed stencils before a reorder. A 200 ml bottle of electrolyte covers up to 20,000 marks. For a shop running a few hundred parts a month, consumables stop being a line item worth tracking closely for the better part of a year.

Questions we get

What’s the real difference between Set 02 and Set 03?

Consumable stock. Same machine, same printer, same electrolytes. Set 02 ships with one roll of tape and one marking felt; Set 03 ships with six rolls and two felts. If you are evaluating the process, Set 02 is enough. If you already know you’ll be marking regularly, Set 03 is the better buy for a small difference in price.

Can I mark hardened and age-hardened parts?

Yes, and that is the main reason customers move to this process. There is no thermal or mechanical input, so hardness, temper, geometry and fatigue life are unaffected. Marking is performed on the finished, final-inspected part.

Can the printer produce a data matrix or QR code?

Not reliably at 58 mm. Codes need the wider printers in SUPER SET 04 or Set 07. The P58D is a text and fine-line printer, and it is very good at that.

Does marking affect corrosion resistance on stainless?

Not when the marked area is neutralized with N11 and passivated along with the rest of the part under your existing procedure. Confirm it once on a coupon during qualification and record the result.

Where does it ship from, and what will landed cost be?

Orders dispatch from Serbia and ship worldwide. Duties, tariffs and import handling vary by destination and change often. Tell us the delivery country before you order and we will provide the tariff classification, the shipping method and a landed cost estimate in writing.

Before you buy

Send the alloy, part geometry, mark content and annual volume, and we will confirm the right configuration — including telling you if a different set fits better.

Product Support: You don't need to contact our manufacturer or supplier for support before or after your purchase. We'll help you resolve any technical issues. We answer emails with real people, not AI, chatbots, or community forums!

Ships From: On this product page, check the Ships From: label to see which country the product ships from. We do not ship all of our products from the USA, except for products made in the USA or in stock. We ship most products from regions such as China, Italy, Taiwan, and Europe, as well as other countries. Therefore, tariffs depend on the country of origin, as not all countries charge the same rate. For example, if the US imposes a 30% tariff on goods from China, in contrast, other countries may impose a lower tariff or none at all.

Tariff vs. Shipping Fee: Please don't confuse the shipping fee with the tariff, because they are two separate charges. You pay us a shipping fee for the carrier to deliver your order to your door. You pay the tariff to the customs office, a branch of your government, as an import tax.

Why aren't we adding tariffs to the product's retail price? If all countries imposed the same tariff amount and used the same currency, we would have added that tariff to the product's retail price. Our suppliers and we are not responsible for tariffs. Please shop accordingly.

Shipping Costs: For some products, we calculate shipping fees based on weight and package size. Some items ship with batteries, which require special delivery for safety and result in a slightly higher cost. For lower shipping costs on multiple items or bulk orders, please email us the product link, quantity, country, state, and ZIP code so we can help lower the shipping cost. Thank you.

Attention! We'll email you the tracking number so you can follow your parcel. The shipping company will contact you by phone, text, or email to arrange payment of the tariff on their website. As the customer, you're responsible for responding to their calls, texts, or emails. You can also use the tracking number link we emailed you to contact the shipping company or pay any applicable tariffs online, if you haven't already done so.

Heads Up! We're not responsible if the shipping company returns your parcel to the country of origin because of unpaid tariffs or non-compliance with its requirements. As a result, you will be responsible for the reshipping costs, applicable tariffs, and an additional 20% service fee. We will not accept any excuses for failing to follow up with the shipping company regarding the tariff, and we will not issue a refund.

Please check your SPAM folder! To provide you with delivery information, we will add your email address to the shipping website so you receive delivery notifications until your parcel reaches your shipping address. Please always check your spam folder to ensure you receive emails from Oz Robotics, USPS, UPS, DHL, and FedEx. Please let us know if you don't want us to enter your email on the shipping company website.

Return Policy

5 Hours: If a mistake occurs during purchase, you have 5 hours to request a refund for any reason, including if you don't want to pay the tariff. However, Stripe will not refund its processing fee if you cancel your order; therefore, we cannot refund it.

All Sales Are Final: After 5 hours, we can't cancel your order with a refund because order cancellations incur multiple transaction processing fees from Stripe and PayPal, additional shipping fees, reverse tariff payments, and paid ads, all of which are costly and time-consuming. For technical issues, we'll help you resolve the problem and provide a replacement if you can prove the product has a manufacturing defect.

Exchange Policy: We want you to be happy with your new purchase. However, once you have used the product, we can't issue a refund, but we will offer an exchange for a product with irreversible manufacturing defects or technical issues. If you purchased the wrong product, then you will be responsible for the reshipping fees and tariffs. If the product is defective, please email us ASAP with photos or a video of the faulty part so we can evaluate the issue before arranging a replacement.

Terms and Conditions

Delivery Date/Time: If the shipping company can't deliver your parcel because you weren't at your delivery address on the scheduled date/time, that is not our fault. If the carrier returned your parcel to the manufacturer from the country where it was shipped, that is outside our control. Therefore, you will be responsible for paying the re-shipping cost and any applicable tariff for any re-shipment request. In such a case, we will not issue a refund.

We know that some customers place an order and then go on vacation. Please note that since Donald Trump ended the $800 de minimis exemption, low-value international shipments no longer enter duty-free. All incoming packages of $800 or less, even for a product costing $1, are now subject to regular country-specific import duties, processing fees, and full customs checks. So even if you are on vacation, you will need to watch your email, phone calls, and texts to pay the tariff before it is delivered to your shipping address.

Warranty: We cover problems caused by manufacturing defects, not those resulting from faulty repair attempts, misuse, or customer accidents.
