A Set of 8 inches (203mm) Heavy Duty Industrial Mecanum Wheel with Load Capacity 600KG – NM203A
Nexus Industry Omni and Mecanum wheels are designed for heavy-duty tasks. Each High-strength wheel hub and high-quality material ensure the series’ excellent performance. The Nexus Industry Omni wheel and Mecanum wheel series also adapt to various indoor and outdoor applications. It can be used in the industry. Install it on the heavy-duty Omni moving platform to enable rotation in any direction. It is used mainly in industrial settings, workshops, and AGVs. It can even be used on stage show equipment.

Mecanum wheels are also known as iron wheels. It is a conventional wheel with a series of rollers attached to its circumference. These rollers have an axis of rotation at 45° to the wheel’s plane, parallel to the wheel’s axis of rotation. Depending on each wheel’s direction and speed, the combined forces produce a total force vector in any desired direction, allowing the platform to move freely along that vector without changing the wheels. Thus, it is perfect for tight spaces.

Characteristic
Each Mecanum wheel is connected to a motor for independent control. The robot can move forward, reverse, and spin like a car with four wheels. The configuration of the rollers at 45° also allows the robot to translate sideways and, in combination with these, move in any direction (even while spinning). We split the force into two vectors: forward/backward and right/left. When the wheels on one side are spun in opposite directions, the forward and backward vectors cancel out, while both sideways vectors add up. Doing the reverse for the other two wheels results in four additional lateral vectors.
The standard installation method is as follows:

Install the left and right wheels parallel; avoid creating an angle. Please check whether only one wheel is vibrating.
