Copyright and Intellectual Property
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, vendors on Oz Robotics have the full legal right to sell the physical, digital, or auctionable products they list. By uploading any product images to OzRobotics.com, vendors confirm that all photos are copyright-free or that they own the copyright to these images.
Dealing with Violations
If you believe you have noticed a violation of this policy for listed products, please do not post a public comment. Instead, please email us at info@ozrobotics.com immediately to take action or legal follow-up. This is potentially libelous, and Oz Robotics cannot and will not be liable for it. Your first action is to contact the responsible vendor or member by private message and request that they remedy the breach. If they do not cooperate, contact Oz Robotics at info@ozrobotics.com. We will do what we can to remedy the situation by talking to both sides of the discussion, the vendor and the customer. We may have access to historical user information, which will help us. Please be aware that if you constantly complain, we may be less likely to believe your side because we think every level has two sides. Before taking action, we will talk to the other party to listen to their account. Nevertheless, Oz Robotics’ support has no way to determine once and for all who owns the content. This is a matter for the legal system between you and the other vendor or you and the customer.
Copyright Law
Various laws apply to all products on Oz Robotics, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act in the USA. These laws require a takedown notice to be filed with Oz Robotics, which immediately removes the product(s) and the relevant content. To do this, you must hold the copyright to the product in question and be prepared to state this in a court of law in the USA, in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Also, note that on either side of a dispute, you may be liable for damages if any legal action ensues; therefore, let us cooperate to avoid such a dispute between parties.
The response to a takedown notice for products and related content varies from case to case; we will delete links to the product(s) and the subject content and contact the vendors, customers, or members on both sides of the notice. Occasionally, especially in repeat offenders, we will suspend or ban such members without hesitation because we have zero tolerance for unnecessary disputes.
