2 x 20W Class D Bluetooth Audio Amplifier Board – TSA9840B (TWS/Apt-X)
The TSA9840B is a 2x20W audio amplifier board with a new AudioB plus Bluetooth module that supports Apt-X. It features perfect class-D architecture (based on the MAX98400A), with each channel capable of delivering 20W of power output. Both channels are capable of outputting nominal power simultaneously and continuously. Any DC 10V-24V power supply can power this board and is compatible with two 8Ω passive speakers. The TSA9840B can also be connected to our TSA1000, TSA1010, or TSA1020 external audio volume control boards, allowing users to adjust the audio volume by rotating an actual knob.
The highlight is the support for Apt-X and TWS, enabling users to stream audio wirelessly to two paired amplifier boards simultaneously. This board is perfect for Hi-Fi applications and can be paired with a mobile phone, computer, or other compatible devices. Use your phone or PC to search for a new Bluetooth device to power the amplifier board. The module will appear as “TSA9840B”. You don’t need a PIN; pair it, and then you can start playing music.
- The TSA9840B can automatically detect aux/Line-in audio input; the Bluetooth Audio source has a higher priority. When Bluetooth audio is paused, or the connection is disconnected, the amplifier switches to outputting the aux/Line-in audio.
- TWS mode is supported. Users can stream audio to 2 paired amplifier boards simultaneously via a wireless connection.
- The TSA9840B features an extra LINE OUT audio output jack, which can be connected to a subwoofer amplifier board.
- BVC Port: The BVC port can be connected to our Audio Volume Controller to adjust the Bluetooth audio volume.
TSA9840B can automatically detect the Aux in/Line in Audio input. The Bluetooth Audio source has a higher priority. When Bluetooth audio is paused or disconnected, the AAmplifierwill output the Aux in/Line in audio.

Two boards work in TWS mode.
- S1 – Long press 3s into pairing mode. Long press 6s to clear the pairing info.
- S1+S2 – Long press 1s to enter TWS slave mode.
- S1+S3 – Long press 1s to enter TWS master mode.
- S2+S3 – Long press 1s to disconnect the TWS connection.
