2 x 100W + 200W 2.1 Channels Bluetooth+DSP Audio Amplifier Board – TSA8800B (Apt-X)
TSA8800B is a 2x100W + 200W 2.1 channels Bluetooth+DSP amplifier board with an AudioB I2S Bluetooth module supporting Apt-X. TSA8800B is a very flexible DSP/DAC/Amplifier combination board. It has perfect class-D architecture(Based on TPA3221) with two channels capable of a 100W power output and another channel boasting a 200W power output. All the channels are capable of outputting nominal power simultaneously and continuously. Any DC12V-30V power supply can power this board. It can be used to drive any 4Ω or 8Ω passive speakers(The subwoofer channel can drive 2Ω speaker).
It’s a 2.1-channel amplifier board. That channel for a subwoofer is 200W mono output(Users can change the DSP program to let it become a right or left channel or mixed output). You can pair it with a mobile phone or a computer (etc). Power the amplifier board. Use your phone or PC (etc.) to search for a new Bluetooth device. The module will appear as “TSA8800B”. You don’t need a PIN, pair it, and then you can play music.
The highlight point is the ADAU1701 DSP chip on board. Users can set each channel’s audio tones separately. Apt-X and TWS supported. Therefore, users can stream audio to 2 paired amplifier boards wirelessly.
DSP I/O Port: We provide 3 I/O pins of ADAU1701 DSP chip for use: MP6, MP7 and MP0. Users can develop DSP programs to fulfill different requirements. If you connect these pins to GND for the default DSP firmware, TSA8800B will output a 1kHz sine wave.
External Button Port: Three buttons on the board can control the audio volume, play/pause, etc. These ports allow you to connect external buttons easily.
Pins definition: (Check the board backside silkscreen):
- P/P: Play pause button
- VOL+: volume increase and forward button
- VOL-: volume decrease and rewind button
- 3.3V
Potentiometers Port:
You can connect external POTs (5K~20K) to control the Main volume, treble, middle, and Bass. You need to update the DSP program first. DSP program(with external POTs). This is our POT kit.
- ADC0- Main volume.
- ADC1- Bass volume.
- ADC2- Middle volume.
- ADC3- treble volume.
DSP Programming Port:
TSA8800B’s DSP detects Bluetooth and RCA signals, but the default program gives Bluetooth a higher priority. TSA8800B will output a Bluetooth audio source if a Bluetooth signal is detected. Otherwise, it will output an RCA audio source. You can develop a DSP program to fulfill your requirements, then load the new DSP program using the USBi JTAG Sigma DSP programmer.
Two boards work in TWS mode. You can also build a wireless subwoofer system.
- S1 – Long press 3s into pairing mode. Long press 6s to clear the pairing info.
- S1+S2 – Long press 1s into TWS slave mode.
- S1+S3 – Long press 1s into TWS master mode.
- S2+S3 – Long press 1s disconnect TWS connection.
