The free movement of the aircraft in pitch/roll/yaw while on the launcher allows it to maintain a takeoff attitude over bumpy roads and adverse conditions. A drone hoist is included and attached, permitting 5-minute loading/unloading of the drone from the launcher. Overall, this launcher represents the culmination of years of effort to create the most modular, simple, and robust fixed-wing drone launcher on the market. It can also supplement costly wind tunnel testing. It has heavy-duty, welded steel construction and is made in the USA.

- Prior to launch, the drone and cradle/platform are free to move in pitch/roll/yaw, allowing the flight controller to be engaged and verified before launch.
With the drone’s gravity set directly at the pivot point via counterweight, the counterweight responds to the launcher as it does in flight. Thus, the drone’s takeoff angle of attack is programmable, modifiable, and verifiable before release. Somewhat like a gyroscope, the drone’s moment of inertia and its mounting at the CG cause it to maintain its attitude despite disturbances to the launch vehicle.
Configuration of the countercounterweights should be used to add a moment of inertia to the moving platform and drone, minimizing the effect of a rough road on the drone’s drone before takeoff.
It is highly desirable compared to a rigid cradle/mounting bracket that would change the aircrafaircraft’s side with each bump in the road.
