Pi-Zero-EzConnect – Securely Connect Components, Sensors, etc. to Raspberry Pi Zero 40 Pin Header
If you use or plan to use a Raspberry Pi-Zero for robotics or other data collection, you will need a Pi-Zero-EzConnect to secure the electronics, components, wiring etc. to the Pi. Instead of using jumpers, where wires can fall off easily, use a Pi-Zero-EzConnect to secure the connections.
Pi-Zero-EzConnect is created in the Pi-Zero form factor and allows connection to any Raspberry Pi header pins via terminal blocks. The Pi-Zero-EzConnect form factor follows the Pi-Zero dimensions (see image on dimensions included.) Pi-Zero-EzConnect is a nice, compact, easy-to-use board for connecting GPIOs or power to a Raspberry Pi. PiZ-EzConnect exposes the 40-pin header available on a Raspberry Pi.
All odd-numbered pins are pre-solders via a terminal block and are accessible via terminal blocks. Pins 2, 4, and 6 are exposed via a separately soldered terminal block as those pins provide Power and Ground.
Other even-numbered pins are left to the discretion of the user. If needed, these pins can be used using the additional terminal blocks provided. Some soldering may be required to do that. A male header block is included for Pi Zero or Pi Zero W, as most Pi-Zero’s do not have a header soldered. PiZ-EzConnect can also be used wherever the Pi-EzConnect is used.
The compact form makes it convenient for use with Pi Zero, Pi Zero W, Pi 2, Pi 3, Pi-4, or other Raspberry Pi clones conforming to the Pi 40 pin header definition. These include OrangePi, Asus Tinker Boards, and other boards.
